Cornucopia

First snow 12/17/08 We usually only get a dusting of snow that melts nearly as fast as it falls. So it's quite an exciting event for us down here in the southwest corner of Utah. Santa Clara is a small town next to St.George. Zion National Park is within an hour drive, Lake Powell is 2.5, Grand Canyon 3, and Las Vegas 1.5 hours. It is a beautiful area that offers incredible views and countless hiking trails.

Comment by Paul Lundy on February 24, 2009 at 6:26pm: Yes, I took these a few blocks from my house, I just tried to get away from power lines. I see these everyday and they are spectacular to watch as the clouds and sun dance across the red sandstone.
