Hey Jim,
What compressor are you currently using? Our compressor just doesn't seem to kick the material out at the same rate that it needs to. It's that or the hopper gun (your basic Walboard HD hopper gun) No matter what the tip size it seems to j…
Notice how these formulas always fail to get specific when comes to mentioning superplasticizers. So to ad to this I know that a lot of the Polyplex folks use Adva 100 and that you can use Adva 555

So you don't have to sand it?
Jason Twillman said:just to follow up on the eap....Kinlock USA has done some tweaking on the sealer..It is now as easy as a wipe on application. It cures a lot faster too...
Steel seems to really Ghost in GFRC. Seems like it would do better if you floated it in on a decent sized piece of scrim. We had the same thing happen on a top, but it didn't take away from the look...so it wasn't a big deal.
I know Gore uses ice water when it's hot. Make sure you have all your mix ingredients set up and ready to go so you can jump right into mixing your backcoat as soon as you finish spraying your face. :)
so we use the white nozzle and sometimes the tan one,I hope your gun has an air regulator valve on it!?? I keep mine about 3/4 open... hey I just remembered that happened to me before....when you screw the nozzle on,make sure it is on all the way....right behind the triggger you can adjust the amount of material sprayed too.....or don't pull the trigger all the way...hope that helps
Steve Hey threre Yes it easy to clean up.Aftrer we spray. We shoot any xtra in a slop bucket and start spraying the hopper with water, we let the the pump run till it runs clear thru the material hose and its done. Rinse the gun out and thats it. As far as set up--I usaully just hook the gun up to the hoses and screw together the nozzle and pour all of our face mix in and start spraying. We do a tester spray on some cardboard that we use for overspray shields. It may be a little much for your standard vanity sink, but it comes with a hopper that mounts to the gun for little jobs and you can still use the air from the TX90. Spraying goes a hell of a lot quicker and you know that there will be a thick enough facecoat.
I've had it for almost ten years now but as I recall I gave about 80k for it. It has a digitizer built into it so back then we did stick templates and digitized on the machine (making it a very expensive digitizer). Now we use digitizers we carry into people's homes and touch the walls and cabinets, add the overhangs and radii, sink cut-outs, etc onsite and then just email the file back to the shop.
You can get cheaper machines to cut foam than this one now-a-days but a good digitizer will still set you back about 10k. Just depends on your volume and how fast your turnaround time goal is.
Yeah, it kind of kills me to leave the mountains, but I could do either one well, but I sucked at both at the same time. The ocean won over the mountains. I do visit often though, so expect a visit some day!!!
We probably did but I have a memory problem and if I didn't talk to you long enough for the conversation to transfer to long term memory then I will...
