I want to add that a Contractor friend here in Glenwood Springs Colorado has two full palettes of Buddy Rhodes mix that were left over from a job that im sure he would accept any reasonable offer on.
Hey Jacob how's it going? You know that picture where you holding that counter over you head were you using smoke and mirrors? I'am doing my gfrc pieces at 1'' thick and they are still pretty heavy I guess its still concrete but It would be nice to carry a 8 foot piece to the truck and install it myself. How thin are you doing you tops and have you done any more experimenting ? Just to let you know I got some nano epa from Jason at urban elements and that sealer is like sealing concrete with liquid glass you should give it a try.
On picture 3, refering to those "spots" - we're getting the same kind of thing with our surfaces, but it looks like it's from the melamine "blistering" and rising up slightly causing a depression in the surface when it does that. We have to fill them in afterwards...are yours coming from the same phenomena by any chance?
I have been using the famous Buddy Rhodes sealer . Its easy to work with but has minimal stain resistance . I just ordered some ue nano epa from Jason at Urban Elements sounds like its a good sealer . What about you? what are you using.
We finished up the job in my pics not to long ago and are in the client color picking process part of another job right now. We already have it templated and the materials ordered so once they pick the final color we'll form up and pour. So, we're doing pretty decent...I'm working on getting more jobs in the pipeline. :)
