I have a job coming up with a 7' x 5' x 1.5" island, GFRC, one piece. The owner would like it to cantilever     12" on 3 sides without any corbels. I was going to do some foam coring and scrim on the…Continue

Federal White Cement

I've been trying to locate Federal White Cement in central PA. I talked to a sales rep and he put me in touch with a rep from Essroc. Apparently Essroc buys bulk Federal White and bags it under the Brixment name. This was confirmed by the Federal rep. And, they will soon be just buying bagged Federal and selling that everywhere instead of the Brixment. I don't know how far the area is but thought that some of you may be interested in this. See More

"I've tried that. I didn't spray the masked area, i just poured it, let it set up a little bit then unmasked it and sprayed the rest. I've never gotten really crisp edges, pretty good but not really crisp. "

Stylized top

Just finished a local beauty salon. It had 4 of these tops for the work stations with the named inlayed in steel. There were 4 other various larger pieces. Very fun job.

"Every pour will be different, because the timing of the temp rise will depend on the ambient temp in your shop. You will find that after placing the concrete, the temp will drop by a couple of degrees, and then will start to rise. Since I use 20%…"
