The FDA does not approve sealers for food contact. Sealers are FDA complient if they meet certain requirments. I've sealed a few thousand yards used in food preparation buildings, I don't remember what the sealer was nor the requirements.

I use ½” rubber mats to pad delivery carts. They come in 2’ x 2’ sections meant to lock together and form floor mats, cut them with a band saw. Very tear resistant.

- Mark, this Firerok cement is actually a geopolymer with a silicate salt (potassium or sodium) activator. The original patents on slag- and fly ash-based geopolymers have expired, so expect to see more such products. I'm working on blending one myself. Call me if you want to discuss.

Well... life has not been nice lately, the family has been facing serious illness' and a loss of a nephew. I had my knee opened up again and some parts replaced, so I'm down for awhile.
I have some kitchen tops in the shop that I'm trying to finish for a friend (I poured them before my surgery). So I stand as much as I can...

Do you do anything differently when applying stonecure to a ground finish? I sent off a couple of samples of a ground finish and the client said she tested wine and mustard and the both left "spots" I am getting ready to seal a bar top that has a ground finish a just want to get it right. My own testing has proven well. I was thinking of really laying if on thick, is there a max? Also i have a slight dip where one if the inlays came away, barely noticeable except by feel, 1/8" max in about a 3" diameter. Was wondering if i could level it out with the stonecure?
