Silicone caulk is a type of rubber. It feels terrible to the touch, it degrades with age and if you used regular, acetoxy silicone, it won't even cure on concrete. It's like rubbing clear tar on the surface.

I find that CSA mixes incorporate curing water very quickly. When we polish, we always finish dry, and that removes moisture from the surface. I've had no issues with EAP, even when applied on the same day as we polished wet. I still wait 4-5 hours…

Yes, most often if you are using VCAS in your mix....as a pozzolan...you would include it in your w/c ratio calculations.

My name is Alex. I saw in the forum that Tony Abba was asking for used copies of DVD's or instructional videos on concrete contertops and you reply saying that you may be able to help him. I'm new to all this and also trying to educate myself on the "art" of building concrete countertops. I made a small vanity top for the bathroom using regular concrete and my wife loved it so now I have to do the kitchen. 'Im in need of direction, should I go with Gore's DVD, maybe Cheng's? Any help will be greatly appreciated. There's a lot information on this forum but a lot of it is very confusing to me.
