I have a couple kitchen sinks coming up and was wondering if extra support is needed under the sink or will standard millwork gables support the weight? What are people doing for reinforcing for sinks? Will scrim be enough? or do I still need to cage it with laddar wire?

Hi John,

Might be a little bit late for this one. The standard millwork should work. I have had no problems. I have just been using a little bit higher fiber load and not worrying about any other steel or reinforcemnet. So far so good.

No need to use metal (rebar, ladder wire, pencil rod etc.) in GFRC. two layers of scrim with a 3% glass load and you can stand in the sink with no support. This is why we love GFRC.

my 2 cents
