I am hitting dirt on trying to find local supplyers for anything. My local guy doesn't evn know what a Super-P is and thinks that Pozzolans reduce water. His products seem expensive to start and generally everything they sell is in bult. Anyone need 30 litres of release agent!!!

Alla: maybe you can shed some light on where you buy most of your additives, sealers, pozzolans....etc. Because Ottawa seems to only build side walks!!!!

Thanks Alla! , That is basically the info I was looking for. I didn't want to waste a ton of time searching for the Holly Grail if it wasn't in my back yard. I guess it will be a ballance of shipping over local. I hope that I can at least find a good glass recycler local to me. I will be in TO on Wednesday if that works for you. I wouldn't mind a tour of yor shop and pick p those molds from you. Would mid afternoon be ok?

John-

I think someone probably already mentioned it, but don't forget to check in with your local ready-mix supplier. They may just have the SP or other admixture you might be looking for. I spent months trying to find a source of bagged fly ash with no luck before I thought to check with my ready mix supplier. I now buy it from them in bulk for about 3 cents a pound.

Sourcing products can be a real pain, and a pricey one; we've all been there. Good Luck.

You can get white portland from Webster and Sons in Mississauga for $16.00 a bag. Their number is (905) 564-3219
You can get epoxy from Niagra Protective Coatings in Niagra falls. I don't have their number on hand but you can google them. Their floor coating epoxies level very nicely on countertops and they also have aliphatic urethanes.

Try living in Perth, Western Australia!!!
Brother do I feel your pain!
They have never heard of GFRC here! I am having to learn EVERYTHING from scratch or sometimes explain what I want and try to get a clever guy to think outside the box for a possible substitute.
It actually made me lose interest for the last 6 months or so but now I'm on the hunt again...

Hi John,

Interstar (a Canadian Company) distributes pigments and admixtures to precasters throughout Canada from distribution centers in Calgary and Sherbrooke, QC. They also sell direct through their website www.interstar.ca

If there's anything specific you are looking for drop me a line. We have a very strong distribution and procurement network through-out Canada and should be able to help you.

Best,
Mike
