I'm looking to achieve a mottled copper look on a counter top I am doing. I have never worked with stain before, just integral color. If anyone has any tips on techniques and products I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

Stains suck. Dyes are much better. There are both water and acetone based. Check out Concrete Solutions website.

We have a student that just sent us pics of his latest project where he did something similar. He hand packed copper powder into is face coat, and then went through and oxidized in certain areas with acid. Cleaned it off and sealed it with Stone Lok. Much cooler than a Faux finish...
