Concrete Countertop Forums

The Social Network for Professional Concrete Artisans.

Hey everyone, another question. I was talking to a potential client the other day and he asked about putting diffenet types of aggregate in the countertops such as granite, quartz, or slices of gem stones. I have seen pictures of tops with these types of aggregates, however, around my area you can't buy anything like that. We have all the normal types of stone and sand. Just wondering if anyone can recommend a good website, contact, or business from which I can find these aggregates. I have searched the net and found a few places but just looking to find out who others are using. Thanks for your time and your help.

Here is where you can get sliced ammonites and possibly other sliced fossils:

Look for sliced and polished under different countries. Also try googling sliced agates or sliced stones. Actually, most of us slice rocks ourselves.

where do you folks usually buy these rocks from if you don't mind me asking.

Just google 'sliced stone' or 'sliced agate', you'll get lots of sources. Or pick up some rocks by the road and slice them yourself - they all look pretty when they're sliced.
